What a better way to express your creativity and improve your artistic skills than to paint some colorful flowers?
This workshop will teach you the process of creating watercolor illustrations, from the sketch to the final piece. You will learn to add depth and volume to your subject by using different layers of colours. Previous experience with painting or drawing is not needed since here you will be learning everything you need to know to create beautiful illustrations and at the end of the workshop, you will walk away with a new set of skills and a finished piece ready to frame.
– Learning the watercolor techniques that we will be using.
– Hands on! We are going to start practicing your new learned techniques by painting a verity of Plumeria flowers of different colors.
– 15 minute break.
– Work on the final piece. You will have several example illustrations to choose from to paint your final piece, there will be some for beginners and some for intermediate students if you are up for a challenge!
Although flowers will be our focus, the techniques and principles we cover can be applied to any kind of watercolor illustration including landscape, still life and portraits.
*All workshop materials will be provided and are included in the price, as well as coffee & tea.
*We will be on top of a delicious restaurant in case that you want to grab a bite after the workshop.
*The workshop is aimed for ages 13yo and up.
*We will start at 10:30 and the workshop will end at 13:30. Everyone’s time is valuable and arrival on time is appreciated.
